Just because a medication has the same active ingredient as another, does not mean that the human version of an Rx has the same potency, concentration, or results as an animals. My advice would be ask your vet because you could cause more problems than necessary. I also recommend reading an actual book on your pet. A little milk and boiled water or a touch of salt in boiled water will help clean them up but conjunctivitis is highly contagious and it needs treated.
