Interesting information about Clozaril. Maybe you will learn something useful.

clozaril? I have become weak and fat after taking clozaril for 4 months.it had no effect on me so my doctor told me to start taking stelazine.stelazine is working.but how do I regain my strength and become slim? Place your order: buy Clozaril without a prescription
Unfortunately, psychotropics can and do cause weight gain. As far as becoming weak, you probably are sitting around a lot more and the longer you sit and do nothing, the more weakness you may feel. The best possible way to increase your strength and decrease you weight is diet and exercise. Start slowly, consult your primary care physician, and good luck. The weight will come off.
How good is the medicine clozaril? I begun to take clozaril , is a week now , I feel so uncoordinated and heavy is it going to be like this forever?
Clozaril is effective, but has a lot of side effects. This comes from the Clozaril web site:Side Effects Associated with CLOZARIL As with any medication, certain side effects are associated with CLOZARIL. Some of the side effects that have been reported when therapy is started disappear with time or after the healthcare professional adjusts the dosage. In some cases the side effects require treatment. The healthcare professional, or another member of the treatment team, can give advice on how to recognize potential side effects and what to do about them.In addition to agranulocytosis (the most serious side effect associated with CLOZARIL), the following side effects have been reported: Seizures or convulsions: The higher the dosage, the greater the risk of seizures. Also, people who have had seizures in the past are more likely to have them with CLOZARIL. If a person suffers a seizure, he or she should tell their healthcare professional at once. Fast or irregular heartbeat: If this happens, the dosage may be reduced, or this side effect may be treated with another medication. Myocarditis (an inflammation of a muscle in the heart): The risk is greatest during the first month of CLOZARIL therapy. Orthostatic hypotension (a fall in blood pressure when suddenly standing up): The risk is highest when treatment with CLOZARIL is started. Other less serious reported side effects are drowsiness, heavy drooling, headache, constipation, fever, fatigue, nausea, and weight gain. Because healthcare professionals are familiar with these and other possible side effects, they can offer advice on relieving them.
Clozaril and wetting the bed - is there a side effect med for that? I'm contemplating going back on Clozaril because of the akathisia problem with other meds, but I do remember that Clozaril made me wet the bed in the morning at least 2x a week. Is there a medication I can take to counteract that side effect? My mom did restrict me from fluids after 6pm when I was on it to try to abate the side effect but it didn't work.

You'd have to ask your prescribing doctor or pharmacist. There are a couple different classes of meds that can sometimes help with bedwetting -- an anticholinergic (Detrol, etc.) to relax the bladder, an antidiuretic (Desmopressin) to reduce urine output, or even tricyclic antidepressants (imipramine) are helpful for some people. Since your problem seems to be pharmacologically treated, it should be possible that one of those other meds could help control this -- BUT you want to be very sure that the two meds you are taking can safely be taken together, and won't cause (for example) kidney damage from excessive water retention or something like that when taken at the same time. That's where your doctor or pharmacist comes in. :) Good luck!
Can clozaril cause weight gain? I've read about atypical antipsychotics on a lot of websites, talking about how they can cause weight gain. But, I've never read about weight gain with Clozaril. Can clozaril cause weight gain?

I just googled clozaril weight gain, and sure enough, it does. All antipsychotics cause weight gain and cardiovascular harm and if you google andreasen antipsychotics, you'll find antipsychotics shrink your brain too. She's a pillar of the psychiatric community. Antipsychotics should be an option only in the most desperate cases because they shorten your lifespan. The Lancet, which is a prestigious British medical Journal, just had an editorial about how harmful this class of drugs is, and should be used as short a time as possible and acknowledges the grave physical harms of these drugs. Many psychiatrists feel antipsychotics are very overprescribed now. Nancy Andreasen is a mainstream researcher, not anti-psychiatry at all. Psychiatrists are supposed to have patients on antipsychotics get tested for cholesterol, diabetes abnormal heartbeat, etc, but only 20% do this, according to the APA, the American Psychiatric Association. The psychiatrist who works in my therapist's office does all this testing. Yes.Clozaril causes weight gain just like any other atypical anti-psychotics.It messes with metabolism and makes people hungrier. But don't be scared by all the horror stories you read. The anti-psychiatry movement has its followers, but the vast majority of psychiatrists and other doctors believe in the meds they prescribe.I am on Clozaril and I have not experienced any adverse side effects except for sedation immediately after taking it (I have lost weight while on it)If someone is put on clozaril, then they most likely really need it.
How does Clozaril lower white blood cells and did I spell it write
?
Clozaril induced Agranulocytosis: The actual mechanism is unknown. So, there is no answer other than speculation. We have patients, occasionally, on Clozaril. You have to make sure they are registered and that their labs are in order before supplying. It can be a pain to get those patients their meds.
